Has anyone here heard of this company?

Is this for real?  I like coffee, and I'd be interested to know if any of you have heard of this company.  I may have to give them a try, just to see if they can live up to their own hype.

Surreal moment of the week:

I ran out for lunch, to the Einstein Brother's Bagel shop.  The girl behind the counter looked at me, glanced at my nametag, and said, "OH MY GOD!  YOU'RE MR. SCHWITZER FROM SCHOOL #67!"

I never had this girl in class.  She remembered me because I was usually the announce guy for convocations.  She even remembered that I'd sung for one of the shows that the school put on!

It's weird to see people who are supposed to be children working at adult jobs.

Had to post this. Joe is a member of one of the forums I frequent. Chances are good that he actually said this.

So, I go pick up lunch at the deli down the street and as I'm ordering, the guy behind the counter's pretty much just shuffling his feet and not really getting me my order fast enough, so I start getting aggravated. I'm pretty sure he can sense this and is moving slower by the minute, just to piss me off. I pay for my food and I distinctly hear him mumble, "Cracka."

Being both shocked and amazed, the following tranpires:

Joe: Excuse me?
Deli guy: I said, "cracka"? (he's still fucking mumbling, but this time he looks me in the eye)
Joe: Listen to me, you self-victimized piece of human garbage, and listen good, because I'm only going to say this once. I don't own slaves. I've never owned slaves. My family has never owned any slaves. I did not oppress your ancestors, and I doubt you have any real idea in that pathetic little fucking brain of yours what they went through in your lame attempt to identify with something that will give you every excuse to act like a lazy fucking bastard with no drive. There's no fucking excuse for you and the sooner you get it in your head that the world doesn't owe you JACK SHIT, the sooner you'll wake the fuck up and realize that the reason that you're miserable is because God fucking hates you personally.
Deli guy: Sir, would you like some crackers with your soup?
Joe: Shit.

heard on the radio this morning:

"Giving one of those O'Doule's non-alcoholic beers to a recovering alcoholic is like letting a pedophile go to the park with a midget in a Cub Scout uniform."

Sometimes I forget how this song pulls at me.

Bruce Springsteen's "Wreck On The Highway"

Last night I was out driving
Coming home at the end of the working day
I was riding alone through the drizzling rain
On a deserted stretch of a county two-lane
When I came upon a wreck on the highway

There was blood and glass all over
And there was nobody there but me
As the rain tumbled down hard and cold
I seen a young man lying by the side of the road
He cried Mister, won't you help me please

An ambulance finally came and took him to Riverside
I watched as they drove him away
And I thought of a girlfriend or a young wife
And a state trooper knocking in the middle of the night
To say your baby died in a wreck on the highway

Sometimes I sit up in the darkness
And I watch my baby as she sleeps
Then I climb in bed and I hold her tight
I just lay there awake in the middle of the night
Thinking 'bout the wreck on the highway

An analogy, if you will:

As is sometime my wont, I relate this to teaching:

What makes the Grand Canyon so amazing is the incredible amount of nothing that fills it.  Complete, utter, empty space.

Those aren't dust bunnies. Those are clumps of hair I've been pulling out of my head all day.

Today teaching of fourth graders was most like:

a)  teaching pigs the Cyrillic alphabet
b)  discussing Shakespeare's Hamlet with a group of chipmunks
c)  picking my nose with my elbow
d)  soaking up liquids with a billiards ball
e)  holding 50 pingpong balls under water with one hand
f)  draining Lake Michigan with an eyedropper
